Why The Name
The Hobbs meter is the only number that decides what you owe. It runs when the engine runs and it stops when the engine stops. That is the whole billing philosophy, so it became the name.
Most rental fleets fail time builders in the same two ways: the airplane is never free, and the invoice never matches the expectation. A club fleet gets absorbed by instruction. A tach-billed airplane costs more than the quote implies.
Hobbs Aviation is based in Southwest Florida, rented dry of instruction and wet of fuel. You are pilot in command. You book directly, you fly, and you pay for the Hobbs time you used.
No charter, no air taxi, no flight training is offered here. If you need a checkout or a rating, hire an instructor of your choosing — several work out of KPGD.
