Why The Name
The Hobbs meter is the only number that decides what you owe. It runs when the engine runs and it stops when the engine stops. That is the whole billing philosophy, so it became the name.
Most rental fleets fail time builders in the same two ways: the airplane is never free, and the invoice never matches the expectation. A club fleet gets absorbed by instruction. A tach-billed airplane costs more than the quote implies.
Hobbs Aviation is based in Southwest Florida. The aircraft is rented wet — fuel and oil included — and you fly it as pilot in command. Book directly, fly, and pay only for the Hobbs time you use.
We do not offer charter, air taxi or flight training. Flight instruction of any kind is not permitted in Hobbs Aviation aircraft.
