Requirements
Six Things Before You Fly
You fly as pilot in command under Part 91. These conditions come from the regulations and the aircraft's insurance policy, and the screening checks them for you.

Certificate
Private, Commercial or ATP. Student pilots cannot rent solo.

Medical
A current FAA medical or BasicMed qualification, unexpired on the day of flight.

Flight review
Completed within the preceding 24 calendar months, per 14 CFR 61.56.

Renter's insurance
Your own policy, current, with the certificate on file before dispatch.

Total time
100 hours minimum. Set by the insurer, not by us.
06
Time in type
10 hours in a PA-28, logged before you rent.

Short On Time In Type
Build time in type elsewhere before renting. Flight instruction of any kind is not permitted in Hobbs Aviation aircraft; only the approved renter may act as pilot in command.
