Hobbs Aviation is a registered trade name of Onyx Aviation LLC, based in Southwest Florida. Questions about this policy go to bookings@hobbsair.com.

Account details: name, email address, and phone number.

Airman details: certificate type and number, medical class and date, flight review date, total time and time in type, and your non-owned insurance declarations page. We collect these because we are required to verify that a renter meets the minimums for the aircraft.

Operational records: bookings, Hobbs readings, squawks you file, and invoices.

Technical data: standard server logs and the minimum information needed to keep your session signed in.

To verify eligibility to rent a specific aircraft, to schedule and dispatch flights, to bill accurately against Hobbs time, to meet our insurer's record-keeping requirements, and to contact you about your bookings.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Our aviation insurer, where a policy requires renter verification or in connection with a claim.

Our payment processor, which handles card details directly — we never see or store full card numbers.

Our hosting and database provider, which stores the data on our behalf.

Authorities where disclosure is legally required, including the FAA or NTSB in connection with an incident.

The dispatch assistant sends the text of your question to an AI provider to generate an answer. Do not send certificate numbers, medical details, or payment information through it. Conversations are not linked to your pilot account.

Flight, billing, and airman verification records are retained for a minimum of five years to satisfy insurance and regulatory record-keeping expectations. Account records not tied to a flight are deleted on request.

You may request a copy of the data held about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything not subject to the retention rule above. Email bookings@hobbsair.com and we will respond within 30 days.

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to pilot records is restricted to the operator, and account data is protected by per-user access rules in our database so one renter cannot read another's records.
