How am I billed?
On Hobbs time. Hours are sold in blocks: $165 per hour wet on the 10 hour block, $157 on the 50 hour block, $149 on the 100 hour career block and $142 on the 500 hour career block. Fuel and oil are included at the base rate when you fuel at KPGD. Fuel purchased away from KPGD is not reimbursed. Where we agree to reimburse it in advance, it is credited at $5.00 per gallon, not receipt value.
Do you offer flight instruction?
No. This is a Part 91 dry rental of the aircraft. You act as pilot in command. Hire an independent instructor if you need one.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. A current renter's policy with the certificate on file before dispatch.
What are the experience minimums?
100 hours total and 10 hours in a PA-28, set by the aircraft insurer. Short on time in type? A checkout flight closes the gap.
Can I keep the airplane overnight?
Yes, with a two-hour-per-day minimum for the days it is away from KPGD.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours ahead at no charge. Weather cancellations are never charged.
How does safety-pilot pairing work?
Two instrument-rated pilots split the cost while both log time, one under the hood and one as safety pilot. Tell us in the request notes and we will try to match you.
Is there a live availability calendar?
No. Every request is reviewed by a person and confirmed by email, usually within 24 hours.
