How am I billed?
On Hobbs time. Hours are sold in blocks: $165 per hour wet on the 10 hour block, $157 on the 50 hour block, $149 on the 100 hour career block and $142 on the 500 hour career block. Fuel and oil are included at the base rate when you fuel at our home base. Fuel purchased away from our home base is not reimbursed. Where we agree to reimburse it in advance, it is credited at $5.00 per gallon, not receipt value.
Do you offer flight instruction?
No. This is a Part 91 rental of the aircraft and you act as pilot in command. Flight instruction of any kind is not permitted in Hobbs Aviation aircraft.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. Upload a current renter's policy during screening. It must be on file before your first flight.
What are the experience minimums?
100 hours total and 10 hours in a PA-28, set by the aircraft insurer. If you are short on time in type, build it elsewhere first. We do not provide checkouts or instruction.
Can I keep the airplane overnight?
Yes. Agree it with us in advance. There is a two-hour-per-day minimum for each day the aircraft is away from our home base.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel 24 hours or more ahead at no charge. Weather cancellations are never charged.
How does safety-pilot pairing work?
Two instrument-rated pilots share the cost and both log time, one under the hood and one as safety pilot. Mention it in your booking notes and we will try to match you.
Can I see availability before I book?
Yes. The booking page shows open times. Each request is checked by dispatch and confirmed by email, usually the same day.
